My research focuses on the integration of innovative approaches, such as artificial intelligence and data science, to understand and predict the distribution of marine species in response to environmental change. I use citizen science data and predictive models to analyse the presence and abundance of jellyfish in the Alboran Sea, evaluating the ecological and socio-economic implications of jellyfish blooms. My main interest lies at the interface between technology and ecosystem-based management, with the aim of developing practical tools for monitoring and conserving marine biodiversity under climate change scenarios. I actively collaborate with international institutions and multidisciplinary projects to promote the sustainable use of marine resources.
