I am a PhD student in the National Biodiversity Doctorate program based at the University of Palermo. I hold a degree in Biological Sciences and a Master’s degree in Marine Biology from the University of Palermo, and I obtained a Master in Protected Areas, Biodiversity, and Natural Resources from the University of Murcia (ES). My academic journey has primarily focused on analyzing the presence and accumulation of microplastics along the food chain. Currently, my research project focuses on assessing the impact of anthropogenic disturbances on marine blue carbon deposits.
